For the next edition of ARCOmadrid, Galerie Jocelyn Wolff is showing a mindfully curated selection of the gallery’s artists’ works. The gallery aims to create a vibrant dialogue between established and emerging artists, promoting different artistic approaches and supports.
The gallery is proud to accompany the artists’ evolution over the years, notably that of our young artist Elodie Seguin. For the Emerige-CPGA Prize, we present a selection of Seguin’s latest series “Fais moi signe”. These works will be shown for the first time at ARCOmadrid 2024.
Seguin has spent the last year in residency at Casa de Velazquez, Madrid, where she has conceived and produced this new series of minimal works on paper, composed of two layers: the upper layer is a white paper that has been carved following a pattern that the artist has designed and then cut with a laser machine; the second layer is a drawing, hand painted with silk-screen ink. This ensemble is then framed in a thick acrylic box, transforming the piece into a wall sculpture.
Elodie Seguin’s new series will be presented besides recent works by Irene Kopelman, Francisco Tropa, Diego Bianchi, Santiago de Paoli, Katinka Bock, Franz Erhard Walther, Prinz Gholam and Harald Klingelhöller.
