March 28 – March 30, 2025
Fair

For its participation in Art Basel Hong Kong 2025, Galerie Jocelyn Wolff is proud to present a thoughtfully curated selection of works that reflect the gallery’s program. This presentation fosters a dialogue between artists, bridging contemporary practices with those who have already left a significant mark on art history.

A strong sculptural and performative dimension will be highlighted through SIEBZEHN RÖHREN / ARM HAND FINGER, NR 1, a recent work by Franz Erhard Walther, presented alongside a series of his Werkzeichnungen. This ensemble of drawings corresponds to individual elements of the artist’s seminal 1. Werksatz (1963–1969), a series of fabric-based objects designed for activation.

Expanding the sculptural narrative in distinct ways, the booth will feature two large-scale sculptures: Amnésie (2022) by Katinka Bock and Salton Sea (2007) by Isa Melsheimer. The back wall of the booth will showcase a series of hanging sculptures by Francisco Tropa and Zbyněk Baladrán, interspersed with a minimalist concrete work by Harald Klingelhöller (Ich Bin Hier, Du Bist Hier, zweifach, sternförmig, 2021) and the surrealist figure Bottle Duty Head (2019) by Diego Bianchi.

Recent paintings by Miriam Cahn will also be on view: hauntingly expressive portraits that capture the raw essence of the human condition.

A special Kabinett section will be dedicated to the work of the Argentinian artist Santiago de Paoli, inviting visitors to immerse themselves into his surreal explorations of image and time. This presentation coincides with the release of de Paoli’s first monograph, recently brought out by the prestigious Italian publishing house Lenz Press.
